13.05.2008 | Fraudscreen appoints Experian heavyweight as sales and marketing director

John Sharman

13th May 2008, Fraudscreen, the payment intent specialists, today announced the appointment of John Sharman as Sales & Marketing Director, further strengthening the management team as the company increases its product portfolio and market reach.

Prior to joining Fraudscreen, John headed up a multi-million pound new business operation for Experian’s integrated marketing division. Whilst there he worked with many of the UK’s best-loved brands including HSBC, Skype, Reader's Digest and Screwfix, amongst others. This built on his highly successful 12 year career with address management software specialists, QAS, where John’s role as UK and international sales director was credited with much of the company’s recognised success. He also spent time as country manager in Australia, where he established the business from a zero base.

As sales and marketing director for Fraudscreen, John will be working to establish Fraudscreen as a strategic partner for UK consumer businesses that want to further enhance commercial returns from customer relationships. Fraudscreen does this by predicting the payment intent of prospects, customers and debtors. Building on Fraudscreen's proven success in the mail order and home shopping markets, John’s initial focus will be in opening up the financial services applications of the product portfolio.

James MiddlehurstJames Middlehurst, CEO, Fraudscreen commented, “Attracting John to join us from an established FTSE 100 company shows just how powerful our product is. I know that he is looking forward to taking our unique model out to the big name clients he’s worked with over the last decade.  The key theme running through John’s roles is in equipping large consumer organisations, directly or indirectly, with the data and technology they need to make more profitable decisions in relation to customer management – which makes him a real asset to the Fraudscreen board.”
