With the water supply industry chasing debts of £1.58 billion per annum, predicting delinquency and debt recovery is essential insight for the development of an intelligent collections strategy that protects and improves profits. This case study, for a well known water supply business, shows how Fraudscreen was able to accurately predict which customers were most or least likely to default, plus which debts had the greatest chance of being recovered. To add further insight, we were able to identify how quickly the debt would be recovered, before using this knowledge to help refine the clients' own internal scores.
